Year 5 & 6 Handball Competition

Well done to all the Year 5 & 6 children that took part in the year 5 & 6 handball competition, they went unbeaten winning 6 games and drawing 1! This is the first time the children have ever played handball and they had very short knowledge of the game and how you play it but they learnt fast and done really well! Well done!

Year 3 & 4 Athletics Competition

Well done to all the Year 3 & 4 children who took part in the Year 3 & 4 Athletics competition at Inspire. We accumulated 272 points and came 6th out of 13 schools, the children represented the school really well, performed to the best of there ability and were well behaved! Well done!

Indoor Cricket League

With the introduction of the new Cricket & Rounders club we have decided to enter the school to the Indoor Cricket League for the first time in years. We have played 2 games so far, we lost our first game to St Matthews, we scored 191 / 12w, then also lost our second game to Hillborough scoring 217 / 4w, which came to be a close game. The children had fun participating and are looking forward to more games in the Cricket league. They also learnt a lot from the other schools that have experience participating competitively in Cricket matches and we are hoping to start making Cricket a big sport throughout the school!

Last Thursday we took 3 teams to the EFL Kids cup at playfootball Stopsley to compete for a chance to play at Kenilworth Road in January. One of our teams made it to the knockout rounds of the Cup before being knocked out by Bramingham. All 3 teams were mixed-ability as we looked to give the dedicated children a chance to play in a high level tournament and they all done really well. They were also all well behaved and represented the school well as always. They also got to see the real Premier League trophy that was lifted by John Terry and Chelsea last season when they won it! Well done to everyone involved!

Year 6 Cross Country

18 of our Year 6's competed in the Luton schools cross country, but not only were they competing with other Year 6's they actually competed with Year 7's aswell! It was very hard for all the children involved but they still gave it their best and we actually had a child finish in the top 40 out of 100 Year 6's & 7's! Bello Jallo finished 37th and represented the school very well as well as all the other children involved. Well done!
