Today you will be learning about contemporary celebrations in the UK.

Online option:

Activity 1 - Can you think of any examples of contemporary celebrations in the UK? For example, New Year's Day, Valentine's Day, Christmas, Halloween, Comic relief, Remembrance Day etc. Write a list of these. Research information about one of these and share it on the 'Tuesday RE' blog.

Activity 2 - Answer these questions on the blog. Share with us what your thoughts are.

-Are New Year's Day and Valentine's Day celebrations for all people within the UK?

-Is Comic Relief a bigger celebration than Easter?

-Is Christmas in the UK for Christians or for everyone?
