Having fun with Phonics

In Phonics this week we have been recapping previous vowel digraphs and we have also been learning about ear,air and ure. The children are also practising how to use their  segmenting and blending skills, both in phonics lessons and when sharing their reading books in class.

Please remember it is very important to read with your child at home, so that they can continue to practise using these skills and build their confidence to tackle unknown words.

During Phase 3, the following tricky words (which can't yet be decoded) are also being covered:

  • he
  • she
  • we
  • me
  • be
  • was
  • you
  • they
  • all
  • are
  • my
  • her
