Watch the 2 video clips of how Abi and her brother prepare for Chinese New Year.

2021 – Year of the Ox -

Kung Hei Fat Choy - means Happy New Year!Get children to repeat.

Share some information about the year of the Ox with your child.

Oxen are honest. They are low key and never look for praise or to be the center of attention. They will gain recognition through their hard work. They believe that everyone should do what's asked for them. They think logically and make great leaders.

Explain to them that everyone is born in a particular year of the Chinese horoscope.

Depending on which year your child was born they will be either:

2015 – goat – People born in this year are strong and resilient, though their gentleness might be misleading.Goats also love animals and nature. They have many friends.

2016 – Monkeys' most defining trait is their intelligence. As children, they win awards and the praises of teachers. As adults, they gain professional recognition and make great leaders. However, they view everyone as teachers. They're willing to listen to critique and learn from their mistakes. They are calm and logical thinkers. Monkeys are always able to triumph and be the final winner.
