Surrey Street Primary School Class Pages

Welcome to Surrey Street Class pages

Welcome to Magenta Class’ activities of the spring term so far.

We started the term by writing Arthurian stories in our literacy based on the BBC programme Merlin.

At the end of January we had a very energetic week doing our Bikeablilty. Luckily for us, the weather stayed mainly dry, although we did need lots of layers to stay warm!

Now that we are back in the classroom all day, we have begun our new project of designing and making phone socks. The first part of our learning journey was threading our needles and tying a knot in the thread so it stayed in the felt!

We have learnt two types of stitches so far and spent an afternoon practising our technique.

Welcome back, We hope everyone had a lovely holiday! We are looking forward to having a year filled with lots of fun and hard work!

P.E days will be every Monday and Tuesday so please ensure they have a full kit in school and will only take them home for washing at the end of each half term for washing. Trainers must be worn for outdoor use in games and plimsolls for indoor use. Please ensure they have appropriate clothing, this can be in the form of a tracksuit with elasticated bottoms, dark or red shorts and a white or red t-shirt. No jewellery is to be worn and No hoodies.

Please ensure the children bring their reading record, reading book, number card, water bottles and a coat to school with them every day. If the weather is warm children will be allowed to leave their coats on their pegs but as you know the British weather is very unpredictable.

Please do not hesitate to speak to either one of us regarding any questions or queries.

We look forward to this being a successful and enjoyable year!

Welcome to Scarlet Class!

The children have settled really well into Scarlet class. Just to remind you our PE days are Wednesdays and Thursdays so children need a full PE kit in on those days (including both plimsolls and trainers). The children also need their book bags, times tables cards, reading records and reading books, water bottles and also a coat in school every day, whatever the weather, because as you know the British weather can be very unpredictable.

Thank you for your support and we look forward to a great school year!
