Surrey Street Primary School Class Pages

Welcome to Surrey Street Class pages

Welcome back, We hope everyone had a lovely holiday! We are looking forward to having a year filled with lots of fun and hard work!

P.E days will be every Monday and Tuesday so please ensure they have a full kit in school and will only take them home for washing at the end of each half term for washing. Trainers must be worn for outdoor use in games and plimsolls for indoor use. Please ensure they have appropriate clothing, this can be in the form of a tracksuit with elasticated bottoms, dark or red shorts and a white or red t-shirt. No jewellery is to be worn and No hoodies.

Please ensure the children bring their reading record, reading book, number card, water bottles and a coat to school with them every day. If the weather is warm children will be allowed to leave their coats on their pegs but as you know the British weather is very unpredictable.

Please do not hesitate to speak to either one of us regarding any questions or queries.

We look forward to this being a successful and enjoyable year!

Welcome to Magenta Class’ activities of the spring term so far.

We started the term by writing Arthurian stories in our literacy based on the BBC programme Merlin.

At the end of January we had a very energetic week doing our Bikeablilty. Luckily for us, the weather stayed mainly dry, although we did need lots of layers to stay warm!

Now that we are back in the classroom all day, we have begun our new project of designing and making phone socks. The first part of our learning journey was threading our needles and tying a knot in the thread so it stayed in the felt!

We have learnt two types of stitches so far and spent an afternoon practising our technique.

Welcome to Maroon class!

Welcome back everyone! Hope you have all had a fantastic summer and are ready for the Autumn term!

Our P.E days will be every Monday and Tuesday. Plimsolls will be required for indoor use and trainers for outdoor activities. Children will do gymnastic lessons in bare feet. Please ensure your child has appropriate clothing; this can be in the form of plain black tracksuit bottoms with elasticated legs, plain black or red shorts and a plain white or red t-shirt. No jewellery is to be worn.

Please ensure your child brings their reading record, reading book, number card, water bottle and coat to school with them every day. If the weather is warm children will be allowed to leave their coats on their pegs but as you know the British weather is very unpredictable!
