Hello and welcome to Year 6!
During school closures, we will be updating the website every day to give you ideas of things to do. Also, remember to check your class blog on Purple Mash as a new post will go on at 10am every day where you can chat to the other children and teachers.
Each day, we will uploadthings for the children to do so that their learning does not stop. When children complete activities, it would be great to take a picture and email to so that we can put their work on this page to show it off!
Here are some general things they can also be doing each day:
Firstly, make sure you keep reading! Read your book for at least 20 mins every day. Snuggling on the sofa with a good book and a blanket sounds amazing! You could also read your free World Book Day book!
Next, keep up with the learning we have been doing in class by doing the activities in your revision guides. Use the pages to help you if you get stuck. You can also work on
If you are looking for something more creative, you could complete some of the learning log tasks which are stuck in your learning log.
Here are some websites you can access that we often use which will keep your brain active. if the website requires a login, the children have these in their readng record.

Below are our spelling words which we will be covering each week. Keep practising them every week because it is important that you know them before the end year 6. You can practise them by writing them out neatly; making your own word searches; writing them in bubble writing; getting your family to test you; and lots more! We will be having spelling bees at school but you could always have your own spelling bee and see what time you can get!
