Surrey Street Primary School Class Pages

Welcome to Surrey Street Class pages

The Surrey Street Football League is a 4-team league that runs for children in years 4, 5 and 6 that attend football club on a weekly basis. The league was set up to provide competitive football for children, even if they have never competed before. Players were sorted into four evenly-matched teams and given a manager and team name.

To be part of the league, players must attend training each week (failure to attend will result in missing the next week's games). Behaviour in school is also taken into consideration regarding children's selection each week. If a player's behaviour in-school is not acceptable, they will miss that week's game. However, each week results in a fresh start so that children can earn their way back into the team.

The league will run twice per year: between September and October in the Autumn term and between Easter and July in the summer term. A trophy will be awarded to the winning team. Players will be sorted into new teams for each new campaign so that they have a chance to play with new players and for a new manager to help them develop socially.

Our vision for the football league is that children will develop life skills in order to help them become both good young players and good young people.

Welcome to Flamingo Bay!

At Flamingo Bay we are all about learning how to develop our social, emotional and educational needs. We have a wide range of children from all year groups. Since September we have learnt about Autumn, Australia, Winter, Christmas and now Traditional tales. Here is a little insight into some of the fun activities we get up to.

Our teachers are Mrs Clark, Miss Marchese, Mrs Saleh and Mrs Ramotar.

Hello and welcome to the first ever Carmine Class page! :)

Our teacher is Miss Betts and our teaching assistant is Miss Patterson. We are looking forward to an exciting year with lots of learning and fun! Check here to see what we've been up to.

Our PE day is Monday and  Tuesdays. Everybody's PE kit should be in school all week.

We are also working hard on our number cards, spelling cards, reading and learning logs as each need to be done every week. Please ensure you support (and nag!) us at home so that we continue to do well on these.

If you have any queries please speak with us at the end of the school day or call the office and we will get back to you.

Welcome to Magenta Class’ activities of the spring term so far.

We started the term by writing Arthurian stories in our literacy based on the BBC programme Merlin.

At the end of January we had a very energetic week doing our Bikeablilty. Luckily for us, the weather stayed mainly dry, although we did need lots of layers to stay warm!

Now that we are back in the classroom all day, we have begun our new project of designing and making phone socks. The first part of our learning journey was threading our needles and tying a knot in the thread so it stayed in the felt!

We have learnt two types of stitches so far and spent an afternoon practising our technique.
